Reiki

I am an Usui and Karuna Reiki Teacher, and although my healing path has taken a different direction in recent years, I wouldn't be where I am now without Reiki and it's journey of self-discovery. Although I have practiced Reiki for many years, I was never drawn to give treatments or teach as a business, it was purely for my own spiritual growth. Reiki has been changed in many ways over the years in order to make it more acceptable to the Western world, but I honour Usui's original teachings which were more about spiritual enlightenment than hands on healing. My approach to healing and all spiritual work is to following your intuition and learning to be open and receptive to your inner guidance. Because so many are now awakening, I have decided to teach Usui Level I, as it is a wonderful way to connect you to source energy. Level I is all about self healing, learning how to channel energy and how to incorporate it into your daily life, on yourself, your friends, family and pets, and how to charge crystals, food and water e.g. Once you have mastered how to connect with this divine energy, it is time to explore your own unique gifts and see where the journey takes you. There is no right or wrong way and you should always follow your intuition and only take what resonates with you from any teaching.

Reiki is Universal energy, it is unconditional love. Reiki is inherent in every living thing and is the life force of all things, plants, flowers, trees, animals.

                     

The Japanese word  Reiki translates roughly into English as: Universal Life Force Energy

 

Rei – Universal, Omnipresent, everywhere at the same time, Spiritual Consciousness, Wisdom of God, Divine Energy, Higher Self.

 

Ki - Life Force Energy, also known as Chi or Ki in Chinese, Prana in Sanskrit and Mana in Hawaii, is the life force that flows through all living things.  It is the source of our thoughts, emotions and spiritual existence which can be activated and utilised for healing.

 

This is the literal translation of Reiki and one that perfectly describes how the energy flows and exists within us and the world around us. First discovered in ancient Tibet thousands of years ago – it was used in Eastern practice long before it was rediscovered in the late 1800’s by Mikao Usui.

 

In the Western world the energy is well-known and recognised in many forms. In martial arts it is harnessed and used for both physical strength and mental focus. Many complementary therapies also utilise Ki energy, in acupuncture e.g., needles are used to stimulate the energy and remove blockages within the meridians, these are like veins which channel the life force around our bodies from the chakras. Reiki simply works by the laying on of hands to channel the Ki directly.

 

Reiki is slightly different from other systems, as the healer will receive an Attunement,  which tunes the healer’s body, on both a physical and etheric level, to a higher vibration so they can become a clear channel for the energy to flow through. Once this channel has been opened it will remain open for the rest of their life. Therefore, Reiki can be defined as spiritually guided universal life force, this is the most accepted interpretation of the word and sums up the experience perfectly.

 

You can find The Reiki Level I course in the shop and you can download the manual as soon as your payment is complete. The course is to be completed at home at your own leisure and the attunement is sent by chi ball within 24 hours of payment, you can access this chi ball attunement whenever you are ready. This is a certified course and comes with a certificate. You will also have lifetime support with this course and I will answer any questions you may have and support you along the way.
